Juli and Andrew – The Wedding

21 December 2009

Juli and Andrew are just a beautiful couple and I was so glad to be able to help them out when they called me only a short time before their wedding.  This event involved a lot of planning, timing and driving.  The ceremony was at the historic Immaculate Conception Church in Tome, NM which was constructed in 1750 and the reception was at the Garcia Opera House in Socorro, NM.  In the middle Juli and Andrew wanted all the family, wedding party, and shots of the two of them at the Socorro Duckpond which is on the New Mexico Tech campus.  We had a couple of meetings to hash out all the details before hand and then we all had a beautiful day.  This wedding was on October 10th.

To Juli and Andrew, thank you so much for making me a part of your Special Day!

Rebecca and Matt :: Mobile Uploads

20 December 2009

Here are a few teaser shots from our session today with Rebecca and Matt.

This session is sort of a test as I just figured out how to update the blog from my phone.  Is there anything this iPhone won’t do? Oh yeah, it kinda sucks for making calls.  Anyhow, thanks for viewing and  congratulations to Rebecca and Matt, we had a great time shooting today.

Sydney and Blake’s Wedding At Los Poblanos

20 December 2009

Sydney and Blake were married on August 8th at Los Poblanos Inn & Cultural Center .  Los Poblanos is perhaps the most spectacular wedding venue in Albuquerque.  Seriously, if you’ve never been there go take a tour.  Los Poblanos is green and lush and once you turn down the long tree lined driveway you’ll swear you’ve gone back in time 100 years.

To Sydney and Blake, Thank you so much for making me a part of your special day!

Amy and Robert – Romance at White Sands

20 December 2009

You’ve all met Amy and Robert in their Engagement Session on the Strip in Las Vegas, NV.  I still need to blog Amy and Robert’s actual wedding which was the day before this session in Cloudcroft, NM.  Rick and I stayed an extra night in Alamogordo and shot this session at White Sands on June 7th.  What an extraordinary landscape!  To Amy and Robb, thank you for being so adventurous and for wading through sand up to your knees and for acting like it wasn’t actually 100 degrees outside.  You guys rock and we had a blast!

Laurel and Floren – The Wedding

19 December 2009

You’ve all met Laurel and Floren in their Engagement Session and now here’s the wedding!  Laurel and Floren tied the knot on September 13th at Hyde Park in Santa Fe.  Hyde is a really beautiful location that often seems to go unnoticed so I hope this blog entry will encourage other couples to consider getting married here.

To Laurel and Floren, thank you so much for making me a part of your special day!

Introducing Barbra and Melissa

19 December 2009

I just love Barbra and Melissa, they are the sweetest couple!   This session was shot on July 21st in the Bosque.  Due to the impending cloudburst I shot this session in about 10 minutes and sure enough the downpour started while we were walking back to the car.  Stay tuned, Barbra and Melissa had a spectacular wedding at the Prairie Star on October 17th, more pictures to follow!

Introducing Laurel and Floren

19 December 2009

Here’s the thing about Laurel and Floren; Laurel loves photos and Floren, well, he loves Laurel.   Floren is not very comfortable with the whole idea of being photographed so this session was short and sweet.  We shot a few images walking down Corrales Road near the Dry Heat Gallery and then cruised over to the Bosque.  This session was on August 16th.  Stay tuned! Laurel and Floren tied the knot on Septemeber 13th at Hyde Park in Santa Fe and that is the blog entry I’m going to work on next!

Introducing Michelle and Justin

19 December 2009

Well technically I suppose you could say that I’ve already introduced Michelle and Justin since I blogged their wedding prior to the Engagement Session. This session was an all day outing on July 30th at the Salman Raspberry Ranch in Las Vegas, NM. Rick, Kristina and myself all piled into the Element and hit the road. None of us had ever been to this location before so we wanted to get there before Michelle and Justin to look around and figure out where we were going to shoot. The raspberry ranch turned out to be pretty scenic and was well worth the trip!

Carter Family Portraits

14 December 2009

Meet the Carters; Hannah, Brian and 6 month old Olivia!  I shot Hannah and Brian’s wedding in 2007 at the Prairie Star Restaurant in Bernalillo.  Their wedding was officially  BDHP (or  before Dry Heat Photography)  Anyway, they recently tracked me down for some family portraits with fall colors and we shot this session on October 8th.

I really appreciate you guys taking the time to look me up!  I hope you enjoyed the photographs.
