Cari and Larry – The Wedding
Cari and Larry were married on October 17th at San Felipe de Neri in Old Town. Built in 1793, this is one of the oldest and most famous churches in New Mexico and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is beautiful. Cari and Larry are good friends with the priest here and, because of that, I was granted many privileges that photographers do not normally enjoy. For one thing, I was invited into his home which is the large building on the west side of the church. I never realized that that building was a home, I just always thought it was offices. Another thing was that I was allowed to go up in the choir loft during the ceremony! That door is ALWAYS locked! I can see why they don’t like for too many people to go up there. For one thing it is 215 years old and not entirely stable. The whole thing pitches forward with a noticeable lean and the railing is a little rickety. Should anyone take a tumble I doubt that railing would hold. What a great experience though. I love being able to go in all the “secret” places. Cari and Larry are not only friends with the resident priest at San Felipe but with several priests. There were six priests presiding over the ceremony! You may also view Cari and Larry’s Engagement Session on October 3rd at the Alameda Open Space.
To Cari and Larry, Thank you so much for making me a part of your Special Day!

Thank you for everything Deanna. The pictures (like the day) are perfect. You captured the beauty and sacredness of the ceremony and celebration and joy of the reception.
