Cyhthia and Ryan’s wedding at Hotel Albuquerque

5 October 2010

I am pretty sure that Cynthia and Ryan still hold the record for being the clients who booked us the most in advance, ringing in at just over 2 years.  Naturally, we think that’s terrific! Cynthia and Ryan tied the knot on June 5th at the Hotel Albuquerque and this is their wedding album, hot off the press.  When viewing an album as a blog entry please keep in mind that the first image is the first page of the book and each subsequent image represents a two page spread until the final image which is, of course, the last page.

To Cynthia and Ryan, thank you so much for making us a part of your special day!

Jessica – The Bridal Session

22 August 2010

You’ve all seen Jessica in her Engagement Session with Sean last fall at the UNM Duck Pond.  Jessica and Sean were married at the Prairie Star on August 7th and I photographed her Bridal Session in Old Town on July 24th. I really wanted to blog this session right away but, of course, had to wait until after the wedding to ensure that a certain curious groom didn’t get a premature eyeful!

Andrea – The Bridal Session

4 July 2010

Happy 4th of July everyone!  I got up early this morning to continue working on the blog and this morning’s entry is Andrea’s bridal session from May 18th.  I was very excited to shoot this session at the First Presbyterian Church here in Albuquerque.  Constructed in 1954, this is one of the few remaining churches to maintain that majestic look and feel that I remember from attending church as a kid.  It has the huge stained glass windows, the ornate alter, the red carpet; everything that is reminiscent of church architecture from that time period.  Sadly, there are not very many churches like this left in Albuquerque so I felt it was a rare opportunity to be able to use this place as my own personal photo studio for an afternoon.  What a treat!  In addition, Andrea possesses a classic beauty that, coupled with the location, really created a perfect storm of sorts.  I don’t always say as much because it would start to sound redundant but I’m pretty sure that Dry Heat Photography has the most beautiful brides.  Hands down, our clients are the best and I would like to thank all of you for giving us an opportunity to do this amazing job.  :-)

Incidentally, you’ve all met Andrea before in her Engagement Session with Caleb last summer at Elena Gallegos Open Space.

Megan and Chris – The Wedding Book

19 April 2010

You’ve all met Megan and Chris previously in their Engagement Session and you’ve also seen Megan in her Bridal Session.   Rick and I shot this wedding together on January 29th.   The ceremony was at First Family Church but most of the photos were shot prior to the ceremony at the Sunrise Bank Building downtown.  Flowers and decor were provided by Joann Baldwin at A Personalized Affair. This is their Wedding Book, hot off the press and created by Dry Heat Signature Album Design.  Enjoy!

To Megan and Chris, thank you so much for making us a part of your special day!

Tiffany and Clarence – The Wedding

6 March 2010

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Tiffany and Clarence’s wedding last September.  An incredibly fun couple that threw an incredibly fun wedding.  We started at Sandia Resort and Casino with some family photos and set up a little meeting for Tiffany and Clarence. We then loaded up into party bus and made the way downtown to St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral Church and rocked out some more family and wedding party photos.  Tiffany and Clarence got married, (St. John’s is one of those great hidden little treasures of a church) and we made our way back to Sandia.

One of the coolest things here in Albuquerque has gotta be seeing the Sandia mountains change color in the evening, especially when it had rained most of the day and there’s low clouds.  And it’s freakin’ awesome when everything comes together and it does it during a wedding.

So here we have Tiffany and Clarence’s wedding story.  DeAnna knocked out an excellent design for this wedding book (my wife’s a pretty awesome album designer :-D ).  I hope you enjoy.

Tiffany and Clarence, Thanks for letting me be part of your special day.  I had a great time.
