Rebecca and Matthew – After The Wedding

5 January 2010

I did not shoot Rebecca and Matthew’s actual wedding but the next day, December 20th,  I met them in down town Albuquerque for this post wedding shoot.  We started downtown and then went to Old Town for round 2.  Incidentally, Rebecca and Matthew are the ones who sent us the bouquet of orchids.

To Rebecca and Matthew, thank you for making us a part of your memories!

Jennifer and Chad – The Wedding

23 November 2009

You’ve all met Jennifer and Chad before in their Engagement Session which was actually quite a long time ago in June of 2008!  Jennifer and Chad tied the knot on May 23, 2009 at the Hotel Albuquerque.  Yes I know, this blog entry is a long time coming but we are making an effort to get caught up on blogging so better late than never right?  Rick and I shot this wedding together and had a great time!

To Jennifer and Chad, thank you so much for making us a part of your special day!

Kristin and Andrew – The Wedding

29 July 2009

0009t- rsbKristin and Andrew tied the knot on May 16, 2009 at Casa De Suenos, in Albuquerque.

This wedding was a blast!  I have never seen so many people laugh and cry and laugh and cry in one day than I did at this wedding.  Such a nice group of people and what a great couple, you can tell they are truly in love.

Thanks so much you two, for letting me be part of your special day.

I approach the brides room to see if Kristin’s ready and hear the music crankin’.  Just a little pre-wedding dance party for the ladies. 0118t- rsb

Jennifer Warner – The Bridal Session

4 July 2009

jenwarB10

You’ve all seen Jennifer before in her Engagement Session with Derek last fall.  On June 10th I shot her bridal session in Old Town.  This was actually the first bridal session we’ve done in Old Town and I was quite pleased with it!  While we were shooting this session Jennifer’s mom reminded me that we had first her at the 2008 Zia Classic Arabian Horse Show. She had been an exhibitor in the event and had come over to our booth to find out about our wedding services because her daughter was getting married.  I had completely forgotten about that because Jenn had handled everything else.  At their Engagement Session I realized that I knew Derek from my brief stint in the UNM Music Education program circa 1994 and at the wedding I realized I knew about half the guests.  Apparently it IS a small world after all!

The wedding itself was on June 20th at Paako Ridge Golf Course.  Keep an eye out for it!

Introducing Andi and Rob

14 May 2009

andi6

Here’s a little story for you.  I first met Andi at a very crowded Bridal Fair at the Sandia Casino.  I saw her out of the corner of my eye trying to get up to the Dry Heat booth but it was crowded 2 and 3 people deep most of the way around.  I don’t know why, exactly, but when I saw her I thought to myself “I have to shoot her wedding” so I went out and invited her to come sit down in the booth.  Turns out Andi and Rob were getting married in June at the Hyatt Tamaya and we all hit it off just great.  I suppose you could say “the rest is history”.  I shot their Engagement Session in Old Town on May 1st.

Cari and Larry – The Wedding

3 December 2008

caricwed18

Cari and Larry were married on October 17th at San Felipe de Neri in Old Town. Built in 1793, this is one of the oldest and most famous churches in New Mexico and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is beautiful. Cari and Larry are good friends with the priest here and, because of that, I was granted many privileges that photographers do not normally enjoy.  For one thing, I was invited into his home which is the large building on the west side of the church. I never realized that that building was a home, I just always thought it was offices.  Another thing was that I was allowed to go up in the choir loft during the ceremony! That door is ALWAYS locked! I can see why they don’t like for too many people to go up there. For one thing it is 215 years old and not entirely stable. The whole thing pitches forward with a noticeable lean and the railing is a little rickety. Should anyone take a tumble I doubt that railing would hold. What a great experience though.  I love being able to go in all the “secret” places. Cari and Larry are not only friends with the resident priest at San Felipe but with several priests.  There were six priests presiding over the ceremony! You may also view Cari and Larry’s Engagement Session on October 3rd at the Alameda Open Space.

To Cari and Larry, Thank you so much for making me a part of your Special Day!

Kimberly and Jesus in Old Town

14 October 2008

Instead of doing the traditional Engagement and Bridal Sessions, Kimberly and Jesus decided to do two Engagement Sessions. The first one was in the studio in February and the latest one was in Old Town on October 1st. Old Town is really a fun place to shoot, it’s growing on me.

Tzufeng and Ben – The Wedding

16 August 2008

I first met Tzufeng and Ben at Karen Stallard’s office. Karen owns Celebrations! Weddings and Events. I went there one evening not too long ago to meet with Tzufeng and Ben and the rest is history. The wedding was on August 8, 2008 at Casa de Suenos. What an incredible event!

I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Tzufeng and Ben for making me a part of their special day!
