You’ve all seen Johnette and Aaron in their Engagement Session last winter at Elena Gallegos Open Space.   Johnette and Aaron tied the knot on July 17, 2010 at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish.  After the ceremony we headed over to the UNM Duckpond for some fun with the wedding party and the reception was at the Best Western in Rio Rancho.  This is their wedding book.

You’ve all seen Ashley and Lorenzo previously in their Engagement Session and now here is their wedding book, featuring Dry Heat Signature Album Design, which also includes Ashley’s Bridal Session.  Both Ashley’s Bridal Session and the wedding itself were at UNM.  The ceremony was in the Alumni Chapel.  Enjoy!

You’ve all seen Nicole and Bryan in their Engagement Session last fall on Canyon Road in Santa Fe.  Well, the big day has since come and gone and here is their wedding album, featuring Dry Heat Signature Album Design, to prove it!  Nicole and Bryan were married on May 22nd at St. Bernadette Church.  On the way to the reception at Embassy Suites we all took a little detour over to the UNM Duck Pond for some greenery and shenanigans with the wedding party.   While all this may seem satisfactory for a wedding day performance, Nicole really wanted sunset photos in the mountains and the day-of scheduling had rendered this impossible.  :-0  Not to worry though, the following evening Rick and I met them out at Elena Gallegos Open Space (and yes, they did suit up again just for this extra session) and the sky delivered in spades!    On a side note, I feel compelled to mention that Nicole and Bryan are some of the most compassionate people I’ve ever come across.  It’s rare and inspiring nowadays to find two people so concerned with the welfare of others.  The beautiful thing about owning Dry Heat Photography is that it has become a platform for attracting wonderful people like Nicole and Bryan into our lives.

It’s always a pleasure to work an event with the guys from Los Primos!

DeAnna and Brandon actually just married a couple weeks ago on June 18th at the Hotel Albuquerque.  We’ll get to those photos later but in keeping with the time line we’ll start with their Engagement Session.  Rick shot this session on March 25th at the UNM Duck Pond.

I’m doing my best to make good on my promise to get caught up on the blog so here’s another Engagement Session.  I shot Chris and Megan’s Engagement Session on August 10th.  We started out in Down Town Albuquerque and then continued on to the UNM Duck Pond.  Megan and Chris will be tieing the knot in January!

I think I would call this our first green Engagement Session of the year.  At least green-ish.  As you can see, not everything is green but some of the trees are leafing out and some other trees are in full flower bloom!  We have only a short window of opportunity to take advantage of the flowering trees.  It is so refreshing to see the world coming back to life!  I shot this session at the UNM duck pond on March 17th.  Caitlyn and Ethan will be tying the knot in August at the Hyatt Tamaya.

It is a full on blog-a-thon here at Dry Heat Photography. Last night I fell asleep on the couch working on Shannon and Wes’ images and watching Jimmy Fallon.  I love my job, really, you can’t get away with that at most work places.  I shot Shannon and Wes’ engagement session last September at the UNM duck pond.  Looking at these photos I sure do miss summer.  It is SO green and sunny.  I am looking forward to Wes and Shannon’s wedding.  They are getting married in July at the Prairie Star golf course, a great time of the year at a great location.   Thanks a lot for a fun session you two, I can hardly wait for the wedding.

It’s so green, I miss summer. 

Elizabeth and Arlen are a very special couple. The love and emotion between them is clearly visible and actually almost moved me to tears once during the wedding. I know, I know… it’s happens to even the best of us . You’ve all seen these guys before in their Engagement Session and you’ve also seen Elizabeth’s Bridal Session (which is EXCELLENT if I do say so myself) The wedding was on October 11, 2008 at the UNM Alumni Chapel and the UNM Golf Course.  Despite the fact that the weather was very blustery this day, Elizabeth an Arlen were total troopers when it came to getting out to shoot the photos and the results are – well you can see for yourself.

To Elizabeth and Arlen, thank you so much for making me a part of your special day!
